The Alliance Party is one of the major contemporary political parties in the Northeast American States. The Alliance Party was founded by delegates from the Constitutional Convention of 2004, most notably Mary Stein. The party was created based on a centrist platform, taking economic policies from the more right wing parties and social policies from left wing parties. The party was first active in the Constitutional Convention and ran candidates in the first general election for Congress and the Preident, Mary stein was a leading figure in the field of Alliance candidates.

The Liberal Democratic currently holds the highest number of seats in the House of Representatives with 44 seats and the President of the NAS, Matthew Yates, is a member of the party.
 
The party's platform has traditionally been progressive with a mix of neoliberal policy here and there. President Matthew Yates' 2005 budget was widely praised by left wing parties including the RPA and SDU for being very progressive, including additional funding for education and social programs while cutting back on the military budget.
