The Province of Étaín (Étaían: Cúige Étaín) is a Blechingia province located on a island as the southernmost point of Blechingia. It is bordered by the Sea Sioannon on all sides. Étaín is the least populous province in the country, and is the country's hub for shipbuilding and military naval construction. The province is dotted mainly by small towns and cities, and is one of the most developed provinces in the country. It is also home to the only active volcane's in the nation.

Étaín or Édaín (Modern Éadaoin spelling: Éadaoin) is a figure of Édaín mythology, best known as the heroine of Tochmarc Étaíne (The Wooing Of Étaín), one of the oldest and richest stories of the Mythological Cycle. She also figures in the Middle Édaín Togail Bruidne Dá Derga (The Destruction of Da Derga's Hostel). T. F. O'Rahilly identified her as a sun goddess.

Most of this period of time between 902-1583 is very limited in writing's from the period as most people on the island mostly couldn't read or write excect for the monks in the church. But being so far south and having is largest population center on the bay that protected ships and the cities from the harsh storms that hit the island.
