The Eurian Democratic Party or EDP is the current ruling party in Euria. The party was founded in 1987 by defectors from the ruling party of Euria's longest-serving President, ToBeNamed Szario. Since 1988 the party has been allied with the Liberal Party in the Free Eurians Alliance, the Democratic-Liberal Union for Euria and most recently the New 1988 Coalition. Since 1988 two of the parties politicians have gone on to become President with the incumbent President, Aralon Varakos, coming from the party.
