Married with a Married Couple (Besmenian: Verheiratet mit einem Ehepaar) is an Besmenian sitcom television series that originally aired on BRF 1 from September 23, 1983 to April 1, 1994. The series was created by Bastian Hackelmann and Manuel Hille.
The series was very popular and successful in Besmenia during it's original run. The series also had great success internationally.
Premise
The young couple Tim Schubert and Mona Haßwald get married. However, on their wedding night, a fire breaks out in their new home, destroying much of their belongings (including most of their money). Since there is nothing left for the two, they ask Tim's old school friend Jörg, to move in his house. Although Jörg is initially against it, he allows Tim and Mona to move into his house.
Important elements of the series are Tim and Mona's professional life and the relationship between Jörg and Mona.
