The Mubatanidzwa weVakuru was a political party in Rwizikuru that was established in 1945 by Carter Chimutengwende in an effort to unite the murungu, Freemen, and African people communities against the Mubatanidzwa weRusununguko rweRwizikuru while at the same time supporting Rwizikuran independence. Following Rwizikuru's independence, it became the main opposition party until all political parties were abolished in 1949.

Afterwards, the MV continued as a platform for opposition, continuing to exist informally until the January 1964 coup d'etat ended the Republic and banned political organisations.
