Joint Operations Base Hjertevakt, also known as BCB Hjertevakt (Ossorian) and FO Hjertevakt (Æþurian), is a joint Æþurian-Ossorian military base located in the Æþurian state of Fjelldende. Meaning "heartguard", the Æþurian Army has long maintained a presence in the area due to strategically important transportation links being located nearby as well as the region being sited directly on a major corridor between the border regions of Shalum and Svinia and the Æþurian capital of Lowellsburg.
Starting in 1992, following the fall of the Futurist regime and a change in opinion in Lowellsburg, the base underwent a massive expansion in preparation for the addition of a permanent Ossorian military presence. Completed in 1996, the base expansion features barracks, vehicle parks, training areas, and support facilities capable of supporting six regiments. Additionally, an air base was built consisting of three runways, aircraft hangars, munitions bunkers, and support facilities capable of supporting six squadrons of aircraft.
Hjertevakt represents one of the largest foreign deployments of the Ossorian Armed Forces, and serves as the primary logistical hub for the Ossorian military in south-western Eracura. The base is also the site of inter-service training exercises between the Ossorian and Æþurian militaries.
