On the contrary the supporters of General Friedrich Meyer III were stance opponents of the Cantonese and wanted them gone as fast as possible. They protested against the new government and even tried to assassinate the new governor of Christopherbucht. All this lead to a counter revolution where the Meyers tried to break free from CRD and form an independent country again. But this plan feel trough due to the troops that were stationed in Christopherbucht. The rebels tried to fight but in the first and last battle of the short lived rebellion their leader, Friedrich Meyer III, died in battle.

The Friedrichländer Civil war was the second biggest war in all of Friedrichländer history. The war started when Friedrich Meyer II died and his second in command, Dominik Ehmann, took power and burned the former Generals will so that his son could have no power to his new won power.

The battle of the plains was one of the biggest battles of the war. It began on 1754 12 January when a Meyer cavalry detachment attacked an ill prepared group of Ehmann soldiers. Word of this came back to Dominik Ehmann who mustered his forces and took his troops to the battle. Friedrich Meyer III, hearing of his success against the small group of Ehmann soldiers took his main corps of his cavalry and left to engage.
