The battle of the plains was one of the biggest battles of the war. It began on 1754 12 January when a Meyer cavalry detachment attacked an ill prepared group of Ehmann soldiers. Word of this came back to Dominik Ehmann who mustered his forces and took his troops to the battle. Friedrich Meyer III, hearing of his success against the small group of Ehmann soldiers took his main corps of his cavalry and left to engage.

The War of the last stand was the last war that Friedrichländer fought. After the war the nation no longer existed due to being incorporated into Canton River Delta.

It began when the brother of General Dominik Ehmann, Leopold Ehmann, asked for help against his brother killer.

Incorporation into CRD

The incorporation into CRD was for some easier that other. Supporters of the former General Dominik Ehmann were happy to welcome the Cantonese as their new rulers for they Aligned them self with the progressive east. The slaves who were now freed by the Cantonese were happy to see them as their new rulers for the Cantonese promised equality for all and they kept their promise.

On the contrary the supporters of General Friedrich Meyer III were stance opponents of the Cantonese and wanted them gone as fast as possible. They protested against the new government and even tried to assassinate the new governor of Christopherbucht. All this lead to a counter revolution where the Meyers tried to break free from CRD and form an independent country again. But this plan feel trough due to the troops that were stationed in Christopherbucht. The rebels tried to fight but in the first and last battle of the short lived rebellion their leader, Friedrich Meyer III, died.

With this the last large organist opposition against CRD was gone. There were some small groups who wanted the Cantonese gone but never again that would threaten the new prefectures.

Friedrichländer independence movement

There is still a group of people in Friedrichländer that want to separate from CRD and once again form an independence country. The official name of the movement is The Friedrichländer Unabhängigkeitsbewegung also known as the FUB. The movement has a following in the region of Friedrichländer of around 55.000 people. Their idea of a free Friedrichländer is one with still an autocratic government but instead of a General, this time the ruler would be a King (König)

The leader of the Friedrichländer independence movement is Friedrich Meyer VII, a decedent of the former Generals Friedrich Meyer I,II and III. The movement want's to put him in power as the fifth General of Friedrichländer and the first one of the new free Friedrichländer.

Even though the movement has a number of followers, the people of the region aren't in favor of an independent Friedrichländer. Only 11% want's to separate from Canton River Delta. Most of the people of the Friedrichländer region are pro Canton River Delta and wish to stay in CRD. On the contrary of that, there is a bigger following for more autonomy, 32% of the people want more autonomy and want Friedrichländer to become an autonomous area.
