The NTA (Ossorian Gaelic: Nasc Traenach Ardluais, lit. "High-Speed Train Link") is the network of high-speed railway lines in the High Kingdom of Ossoria. Initially, it was built to connect the major cities of the Kingdom of Kenlis, but later expanded to include high-speed rail networks in the Kingdoms of Ardliss and Dòrnach, with further expansions connecting the capitals of the Kingdoms of Lodainn and Rocelyn as well as the Principality of Carmane to the network. The Kingdoms of Firada and Dídean are planned to be brought into the network as new expansions are completed.
History
Organization
The NTA is operated by Corparáid Traenach Ardluais (High-Speed Train Corporation), which is a joint venture between the state-owned railway companies of Kenlis, Ardliss and Dòrnach, with those of Lodainn, Rocelyn, and Carmane having a more limited role. Under current expansion plans, Firada and Dídean will be brought into the CTA as upgrades and connections are completed to bring their planned network lines into compliance with CTA standards. This is currently projected to be completed by the spring of 2022.
Services
The NTA operates three passenger-only services based on the number of stops made:
- Suaimhneach - Standard service that stops at every station
- Bíogúil - Express service that stops only at most stations
- Sciobtha - Express service that stops only at major cities
