The Tasorel Film Awards, popularly known as the Tasorels, are awards for artistic and technical merit in the film industry. They are regarded as one of the most significant and prestigious awards in the entertainment industry. The awards are an international recognition of excellence in cinematic achievements, although, unlike The Pine Awards, only Vitosian films are eligible.

Etymology

The name of the awards comes from Edward Lissoa, who directed the very first film in the country. For the first ten years of his career, he had gone by the stage name, Barry Tasorel.
