The Imperial Guard of Amenria (Chinese: 亚洲帝国 禁卫队 Yàzhōu Dìguó Jìn Wèiduì) or simply The Imperial Guard, is the special forces of the Empire of Amenria. Unlike in previous Chinese dynasties where the Imperial Guard act as bodyguards for nobles, the Imperial Guard of Amenria protects property, artifacts and staff tending to them, such as high-end science labs like the one on Clarity Island, vaults containing mystical artifacts, or maximum security prisons housing the most dangerous villains, among other specialised duties.
Selection and training
All Imperial Guards are drawn from the other three branches of the Imperial Army and must serve at least one year before taking a series of mental, physical, and sometimes, spiritual (as is the case for Ox-Head and Horse-Face), tests, depending on the general skills required for operations conducted by each subunit. Applicants who pass the tests would later be allowed to choose from several subunits corresponding to the skills tested.
