The livre (Code: SBL) is the official currency of the Republic of Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Subdivided into 100 centimes, the currency is officially pegged on par with the Amand federal livre, and due to Saint-Baptiste's position as the smallest country to issue its own currency, is minted at the Federal Mint of Amandine. Since independence in 1947, the livre is issued by the Bank of Saint-Baptiste, who manages the monetary policy of the country.
