The livre (symbol: £; code: SBL) is the official currency of the Republic of Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Subdivided into 100 centimes, the currency is officially pegged on par with the Amand federal livre, and minted at the Federal Mint of Amandine, due to a joint agreement by Saint-Baptiste and Amandine since 1951. Saint-Baptiste is the smallest country in the world to have an independent monetary policy. Since independence in 1947, the livre is issued by the Bank of Saint-Baptiste, who manages the monetary policy of the country. The currency has been granted the international currency code of SBL.
