Gracilia Gama instructed six of the castaways to swim out to an island where a machete and high-tech shoes waited for them. Meanwhile, the other ten castaways were dropped off on another part of the island with several crates of supplies labelled in English. Some crate contained survival supplies while others contained unsuitable items to the survival on the island. The group had to carry as they hiked across the sand dunes. The group of six bonded on their journey, while the group of ten were instructed by Gracilia to take their crates onto a boat. Gracilia revealed that two of those ten would not continue with the journey, and that the group would have to cast two votes to determine which two castaways would be chosen. Army Intelligence Officer Gaspar and Fire Lieutenant Martinho received the most votes, and Gracilia revealed they would fly to Exile Island while the other eight would travel to camp by boat. The two groups united at their camp, while Martinho and Gaspar discovered a clue to a hidden immunity idol while exiled. On Day 2, Blackjack Supervisor Benny was put off by Singer/Songwriter Emilio wasting water from the well to cool off, leading to a public argument between the two. At Exile Island, a note deemed Martinho and Gaspar leaders, instructing them to divide the castaways into two tribes using orange and blue buffs also provided to them. Martinho’s leadership role began to go to his head, annoying several tribe members as Asco (Martinho’s tribe wearing orange buffs) and Berry (Gaspar’s team wearing blue buffs) were introduced. The members of Asco (especially Pediatric Physician Assistant Herminia and Emilio) were frustrated by having to set up their camp after the long first day. Berry won the Immunity Challenge and made fire by the end of the night. Emilio wanted Martinho out, as Martinho did not contribute much at camp, while an injury to Almir's leg (due to him accidentally scraping it against a patch of coral) became infected. At Tribal Council, though Martinho’s leadership was called into question, Asco unanimously voted out Student Counselor Almir due to his injury; Gracilia then provided flint to Asco, since they had gone to Tribal Council.

At Berry, Airplane Electrician Gustavo and Benny both wanted to be the tribe’s "alpha male", and Chef Nathalia said she didn’t trust Gustavo due to him making several alliances. Before the challenge happened, everybody had to reach into a bag. The one person on each tribe who got a green rock had to switch. Emilio and Nathalia got to switch tribes. Berry won the Reward Challenge and chose to send Herminia to Exile Island. Herminia then had to pick one member from Berry to spend the night at the Asco camp, and she chose Gaspar. Morale at Berry was high after winning the first two challenges, and it grew even more after Broadcast Maintenance Engineer Luiza found berries as a food source and the men caught some fish with their reward. Meanwhile on Exile Island, Herminia’s search for the idol was delayed by the high tide and an approaching storm, though she later managed to find the idol after the storm subsided. The storm hit the Berry camp hard, and Luiza single-handedly constructed a better shelter, to Gaspar’s admiration. Asco won the Immunity Challenge. Financial Accountant Madalena grew threatened by Luiza’s perceived physical and strategic prowess, and attempted to rally votes against her. She would also bring her closest ally, Stay-at-home Mother of Three Victoria, as well as Gustavo into a Final 3 alliance. At Tribal Council, Madalena’s lobbying proved to be ineffective, as Emilio was voted out instead in the re-vote.

At Asco, Maximino makes an alliance with Herminia, Carlota and Marciane. They call themselves "O Conselho" (The Council). At Berry, Luiza, Gaspar, and Dentist Tiago agreed to be honest with each other, while Gustavo and Madalena found a clam, which freaked out the latter. Luiza was ecstatic to be saved and felt like Madalena could not be trusted. At Asco, Martinho complained that he didn’t sleep as comfortably as his tribemates; he proceeded to accidentally break the tribe’s fishing hook. Treemail instructed each tribe to pick one representative that would compete in the reward challenge; Personal Trainer Maximino and Gaspar were chosen for Asco and Berry, respectively. Maximino won the Reward Challenge duel, 3-1, for Asco. Gracilia offered Maximino a note instead of the food (which would go to Berry if Maximino took the note), but Maximino stuck with the food reward. Gaspar was disappointed in himself for losing, while at Asco, Martinho ate more of the food for himself. Several Berry members agreed to vote out Benny next. Berry won the Immunity Challenge. Several of the Asco members wanted to vote out Martinho, who searched for the idol, as well as tried to convince his tribemates to vote out the new tribemate, Nathalia, just like the other tribe did with Emilio. As Nathalia was able to integrate herself into the tribe, he then tried to target Marciane. At Tribal Council, Martinho called out his tribe for appointing Aspiring Actress Marciane as a weight-bearer, as he felt that Administrative Assistant Yasmin would have been a better option. Ultimately, Martinho was unanimously voted out.

At Berry, Victoria tried and successfully convinced her closest ally, Madalena, that it was Gustavo who flipped, not her. Madalena became pissed at Gustavo. At Asco, Herminia felt comfortable in her alliance with Maximino, Marciane, and Swimwear Designer Carlota, but she considered making a move against the tribe’s biggest perceived threat in Maximino. Asco won the Immunity Challenge. Carlota and Marciane were a tight duo, which worried Maximino. At Berry, Benny attempted to search for the idol but was befuddled by the ambiguity of the clue. He eventually found the idol. Luiza was torn between voting out Madalena (the person who tried to get her out), Victoria (her closest ally) or Benny (strategic threat), while Gaspar was annoyed by Benny’s constant strategizing. At Tribal Council, Benny played his idol, making him safe from the votes. However, it became a tie between Luiza, Madalena and Victoria. In a rather shocking surprise, the majority of votes sent Victoria packing so that Luiza and Madalena kept targeting each-other.

Maximino’s leadership and efficiency at catching fish put Asco at a new high. Later, the alliance of Herminia, Maximino, Marciane, and Carlota talk plans. Carlota begins to feel like the other three are more loyal to each-other. At Berry, Benny worried about his position in the tribe, as he did not take to the social aspect as well as the others. The tribe agreed that Benny had to go next. Treemail revealed that the next challenge was for reward and immunity simultaneously. Asco won the Immunity and Reward Challenge. Maximino wanted to eat the chickens right away, which didn’t sit well with animal lover Marciane. At Berry, Gustavo recognized Benny as a threat, since he knew the game better than the others. Gustavo began to grow paranoid, while Madalena told Gaspar that Gustavo had conspired against him before. Later, Madalena and Luiza, secretly, decided to ally, although Luiza still wanted to take her out sooner than later. Benny pleaded for his life in the game to several tribemates, while Gustavo worried about whom to make a secondary target if Benny were to play another idol. At Tribal Council, no idols were played, and Gustavo was shockingly voted out over Benny.

On Berry, Benny tries his best to integrate into the tribe while Luiza and Madalena's new secret alliance from last episode continues to be a secret. Madalena feels like she got back at Gustavo while Luiza says that, if Gustavo switched his vote [in Episode 2], then she feels like she had even smaller reason to vote him out. However, they both felt like Gustavo was trying to take control of the tribe. On Asco, a montage establishes Carlota, Nathalia and Yasmin as the three better strategists of the tribe. Nathalia then gets the idea that the three of them should make a Final 3 alliance, which they name "Ameaça Tripla" (Triple Threat). Herminia and Marciane both notice how well Nathalia integrated into the tribe and begin to view her as a threat. Berry won the Immunity and Reward Challenge. Herminia speaks to Maximino, Marciane, and Carlota [her alliance] and discusses Nathalia going home. Marciane agrees. Carlota, worried, goes to Nathalia and Yasmin and discusses voting for Herminia. Yasmin comes up with the idea of trying to split the votes. Nathalia tries to bond with Maximino, hoping to get him onto her side. Later, Carlota talks to Maximino about how, perhaps, they can go after Yasmin, hoping to split the alliance's votes. Maximino begins to get suspicious but agrees to Yasmin. When Maximino talks to Herminia and Marciane about the new target being Yasmin, Herminia and Marciane talk to Carlota and tries to convince her that Nathalia is a massive social threat and should go home now. At Tribal Council, the result is a tie. Marciane tells Carlota that Nathalia is an enormous threat and taking her out now is the best move of the game. Carlota tells Marciane that, in the alliance, she felt like she was on the bottom of the totem pole. So, she is switching things up. In a rather shocking development, Marciane and Maximino switch their votes (as revealed in the next episode, Maximino felt like Herminia would have lost the tie breaker challenge and he wanted to re-solidify things with Carlota), sending Herminia home in the re-vote, unanimously. This also meant that Herminia went home with an idol in her pocket.
