Cumrovia (Erian: Cwmeryrod), officially the People's Republic of Cumrovia (Erian: Gweriniaeth Pobl Cwmeryrod), is a sovereign state in western Auressia in Levilion. It borders Tirmon on some side. A unitary state, Cumrovia is comprised of five Cantrefi. Its capital city is Caerbreuthe, which is also the largest city in the country. Cumrovia has a population of 7,081,664, around two million of whom are located within Caerbreuthe and its environs.

Inhabited by Ghàels since the antique era, the territory which makes up modern Cumrovia has seen the existence of a distinct identity since pre-Sabarian times when the region was inhabited by the Erarii tribal confederation. Upon Sabarian conquest Cumrovia was placed under the authority of Gallia Exterior? and would become highly culturally influenced by the Sabarine core. As the Sabarine empire receded, a rump state would remain centred upon Noviomagus. This state slowly lost its connection with Sabarian culture and faded in relevance, but it was here that the first mention of Cumrovia emerged in the title of Rex Cumrovorum, King of the Cumrovians. From the 500s onwards, Erian culture became more influential as Sabarine traditions were forgotten and older ways reemerged in a new search for legitimacy. In 563, during the reign of Wyn the Dreamer, Noviomagus was sacked by Tirmon, but had been abandoned just weeks before by the young king and his court following a dream which told him to seek a new capital in the highlands. This new capital was Caerbreuthe, which has served as the primate city of Cumrovia ever since. Though the early medieval period was a period of cultural growth for Cumrovia, a childless royal marriage in 1202 saw the control of the kingdom fall into the hands of the Rythenean House of Burke. Under the Burkes, the Cumrovian nobility was Rythenicised with the introduction of surnames and new systems of law. The House of Burke remained in power even with Cumrovia's accession to the Occidental Confederation and their cultural shifts were so profound that even following their deposition in 1652 the following House of Bowen retained much of their influence.
