The Earth Humans Federal Protection Service (also EHFPS, FPS, or Federal Protection Service) is a federal law enforcement agency under the Department of Homeland Security charged with protecting the nation's federal leaders. The Federal Protection Service is the equivalent to the United States Secret Service, however, unlike the United States Secret Serice, the Federal Protection Service protects every current member of the federal government, their spouses, and their children under the age of 18. Only the president, vice president, their spouses and children receive life-long protection.
Once a Senator or Representative is out of office, they no longer receive protection, unless otherwise directed by the president. Certain federal offices have their own private protection services but may also utilize the Federal Protection Service if needed.
