Yonuw is the second largest city in the United Kingdom of Mygona and is the country's largest port city. Located at the mouth of the Almaju River northwest of the national capital, it borders Kecost Province to the south and east, Figtízia Province to the north and the Sunadic Ocean to the west. With a population of 1,732,921 inhabitants, it belongs to the metropolitan region of Lano-Alma, being its central city. The city experiences a humid continental climate, with rainy summers and winters, in winter there is not much snow in the city but frosts are extremely common.
History
Founded around 1251 as a fishing village, Yonuw grew to be at the mouth of the Almaju River, which is a river access to the capital, Almaju, in the 16th century the city wanted independence from the Kingdom of Almaju, which even with years of war and diplomatic disputes were not possible because the Almajuan crown did not want to lose this important port on the Sunadic coast of Mygona.
