Provinces of Kathia

A list of provinces in the the Kingdom of Kathia. Historically, provinces had no power until the Revolution. However, provinces were later dissolved in 1799. Upon the defeat of Kathia in 1814, provinces were re-created, however they would not become official provinces until each on ratified the Kathic constitution. Some provinces such as Viszava, ratified the constitution early in 1815, while a few like Voenna did not ratify it until 1873. Upon ratifying the constitution, provinces were considered to be "admitted" into Kathia, similar to the states of Hijjma.

Provinces are the primary subdivisions of Kathia, with each province further divided into Departments or Counties. Not every province uses the prefix 'province' in their name, such as West Valentia which uses "'Autonomous Community'" or Maszale which uses "'State'". Provinces are granted a large degree of autonomy, however Laszia and West Valentia have large degree more autonomy than the other provinces. Some laws vary by province, but federal laws will always override provincial laws.
