  • The Reclamation War (Zoygarian: La Voyna de Reclamaçion) was an armed conflict fought from 1995-1999 between Zoygaria and its neighboring states of Irzemai and Coaitte, ending via intervention by a number of members of the Coalition of Crown Albatross starting in 1998. The war came as a result of pent-up tensions from Zoygaria's significant territorial losses following the World War and subsequent the loss of its Ausianan colonies amid The Collapse, instigated in large part Zoygaria's newly-elected Prime Minister Frančesco Ševčenco. The war saw Zoygaria invade and successfully take over its northern neighbor of Irzemai in a matter of weeks, followed by an attempted invasion of Coaitte to the east. Zoygaria initially made significant progress into the Coaittean heartland before being halted, resulting in an active and mobile eastern front where urban warfare and air combat were rampant. In 199X, a group of Shilagino nationalists, sympathetic towards Coaitte and hoping to secure independence for Shilagi should Coaitte make significant ground against Zoygaria, initiated an armed revolt against Zoygaria, gaining popular civil support and leading to a number of Shilagino servicemen within the FAZ joining the uprising and comandeering Zoygarian equipment and vehicles, prompting brutal urban warfare and a significant diversion of Zoygarian troops from the frontline.
