Executive Secretariat of Batisuria

The Executive Secretariat (Midrasian: Secrétariat Exécutif) sometimes called the E-Sec or Cabinet, functions as the Executive Branch of government in Marensoald, composed of the President and the most senior secretaries representing each government department.

Executive Secretaries are selected and appointed by the President. General convention dictates that the President selects leaders from both their party and that of their governing bloc in Parliament. However, concessions exist in current legislation that permits a President to select up to 1/3rd of members of the Secretariat from outside of the federal government, though public perception generally forces the selections to lean in favor of MPs and Federal Secretaries. These selections are then approved by a simple majority by the Federal Secretariat. Their duties are then to administer their respective governmental departments, as well as advise the President and other members of government on policy related to their respective field of expertise. Regular meetings of the Executive Secretariat take place every Tuesday while Parliament is in session. Meetings take place in the House of Secretaries in the Federal Enclave District of Valjardin.

Alongside their regular duties, Executive Secretaries, under the authorization of the Vice President, are granted the authority to declare a sitting President incapacitated or unfit to carry out their duties. Conversely, Secretaries may be impeached by the Assembly and tried by the Federal Secretariat similarly to the President for cases of "Crimes against the Peoples' Democratic Republic, Corruption, and Breach of Oath or Conduct". Additionally, Executive Secretaries serve at the pleasure of the President, and may be dismissed at will.

Peripheral Secretariat

The Peripheral Secretariat is composed of Offices which are not mandated by the Constitution, but have been brought into being through either Executive Mandate or Parliamentary Legislation since 1958. Though not constitutionally protected, these offices hold all the same responsibilities, rights, and privileges as their Primary Counterparts.

Special Offices and Federal Task Forces

Special Offices and Task Forces can take shape through two routes: either being developed as part of an executive mandate, or as result of legislation created through regular Parliamentary processes. These offices are usually developed to combat ongoing national emergencies or crises which demand more rapid responses. As such, special offices are given yearly charters, and can be extended four additional years before either demanding a supermajority approval from the Federal Secretariat, become a new Peripheral Office, or be subsumed into an existing Regular Office.

Reopened following Hugo Toutain's departure from office, whose administration closed the investigation in 2014, a move which many believed to be shielding other officials from scrutiny.
Special Secretary for the Aramas Crisis Formed 2012	Nazeeha el-Samad   U&P	1 January 2018	Developed as a Civilian Companion to the Military Command Structure developed to combat the Muscat Regime during the Aramas Civil War, largely to help expedite the immigration and resettlement process of refugees entering the country during the conflict, as well as to act as the federal liaison to the Republican Government-in-Exile. Following the close of the Conflict and reassertion of the prewar authoritarian government in late 2018, the future of the Office is uncertain.
