African International Airlines, headquartered in Antibarber, State of Angola, ViZion. Formerly African National Airlines, the airline was renamed on November 24, 2023. It is the 6th largest legacy carrier in the nation. It is one of the nation's leading carriers throughout Africa, however.

With the launch of the new name came the launch of several new aircraft beginning their first flights. These included all-new hard product - a completely revamped Economy, Economy Plus, Business, and The Condo.

Ground Game

Lions Den Lounge

The Lions Den Lounge is our exclusive lounge at our hub airports, where you can relax, work, or enjoy a meal before your flight. The lounge features a buffet, a seated to-order dining room, an observation desk overlooking the airport, conference rooms, and private showers. You can access the lounge if you have a First Class/The Condo ticket, a paid Business Class ticket, an annual membership ($699/year), or a one-time pass ($99/person), subject to availability.

Check-In

You can check-in easily and quickly at our automated kiosks, where you can print your boarding pass and your checked baggage tags. You can then drop off your baggage at our designated counters.

First Class Check-In

If you have a First Class ticket, you can enjoy a private and personalized check-in service in our First Class check-in room. You will be greeted by our staff and escorted to a desk, where you can sit comfortably while your assigned agent handles everything for you. You will also be offered beverages and hors d’oeuvres while you wait.

Lion Rewards

Lion Rewards is the loyalty program of African International Airlines, where you can earn and redeem points for flights, upgrades, lounge access, and more. You can also enjoy exclusive perks and privileges as you achieve higher elite status levels. Here is how it works:

Earning Points

You can earn points by flying with African International Airlines and its partner airlines, as well as by spending with our co-branded credit cards, hotel partners, car rental partners, and online shopping portal. The number of points you earn depends on the fare class, distance, and airline of your flight, as well as the amount and category of your spending. You will earn 5 base qualifying points per dollar spent on AIA tickets, and base qualifying points per dollar spent on partners. You also earn up to 5 points per dollar spent on the co-branded credit card.

Redeeming Points

You can redeem your points for award flights, seat upgrades, lounge passes, hotel stays, car rentals, gift cards, and more. You can also transfer your points to our partner airlines and hotel programs, or donate them to charity. The number of points required for redemption varies depending on the availability, demand, and destination of your choice.

Elite Status Levels

As a Lion Rewards member, you can achieve different elite status levels based on the number of points you earn in a calendar year. Each elite status level comes with its own set of benefits and privileges, such as priority check-in, baggage allowance, bonus points, and more. Economy Plus

Our economy plus seats are arranged in a 2+2 or a 2+3+2 seat layout, depending on the aircraft, giving you more personal space and easy access to the aisle. Business
