Terratorial History

Astyrian History

Origins of ViZion's Astyria land come in the form of colonization through the imperial might of the ViZionarian Empire, dating back to its first migration in the 3th century BC to L'Isola Grande, the island sitting between Teudallum and Lorecia at the mouth of the Putin Strait. Throughout the next several centuries and through roughly 950 AD, ViZion's empire continued to expand its borders across to Teudallum and Lorecia. Over time, the borders shifted bit by bit, but the rough outline seen today was set by then.

Italian History

ViZion's ancestorial homeland is in Italy, where its long-time capital and largest city of ViZion City sat along the Mediterranean Sea. The ViZionarian Empire was formed in the 5th century BC. This territory was lost during The Decade War.

African History

ViZion expanded across the Meditarranian Sea to conquor Tunisia in 42BC after waging war for six years. This territory was lost during The Decade War.

ViZion eventually expanded into central Africa, both through marriage and conquest. Wars fought over the coming centuries and into the middle ages lead to ViZion ultimately claiming a coast-to-coast swath of land, encompassing Angola, Zambia, and Tanzania. While the borders north and south having shifted over time from wars, for the past two centuries it has been set.

The Americas

In the 1200's, ViZion launched ships to sail across the Atlantic, having heard stories of another land. They expanded there.

Jaro-ViZo Alliance

The Jaro-ViZo Alliance was formed during the Egypstan-ViZo War in the 1980's, fought over Acigoo. Jarridia, a young but ideological democracy at the time joined ViZion in the fight against Egypstan and Acigoo. This ultimately fostered strong relations between the two nations. This alliance has never faltered, although at times they were tested. Today, it stands strong as one of the world's great alliances.

Economics

ViZion has a powerful, laisse Faire economic system that has allowed it to become one of the global and regional leaders. It is home to three of the world's largest conglomerates, ViZion World Corporation, General Industries Corporation, and home of the headquarter for Astyrian-based Astyria Corporation. Politics

ViZion is a diverse, free nation home to a freely elected government every 4 years. It is a constitutional federal republic.

Underwater Data Cables

ViZion has worked with nations across the globe since the 1970's to build out underwater cable, originally using copper wires for phone and phone-based internet. In the 1990's, they began upgrades to fiber to handle the dramatic uptick seen with the internet usage.
