Lukas Tvørfoss (born 3 February, 1999) is an Esthursian chess player, qualifying as a grandmaster (GM) in 2023. With a record high of 2855, Tvørfoss is the world's highest-rated chess player to date. His rivalry against established GM and former World Chess Champion Micky Adams has popularised chess in Esthursia in the 2020s.
Early life
Tvørfoss was born in inner-city Fjármagn, Helmark in February 1999. He began playing chess at the age of 6, and professionally at the age of 12.
