Jonaksburg is major port city in western Krasnova, one of two capitals of the Vikar of Krasnova. It was refounded in MC 2031, atop the city of Datosk. Datosk was previously devastated by a Zvezdan nuclear strike during the Second Krasnovan War. Its reconstruction was ongoing by the commencement of the Fourth Krasnovan War, during which Datosk was occupied by The Golden Throne. It was soon thereafter refounded as Jonaksburg by the imperial decree of His Imperial Majesty Fedor I.
It currently serves as one of two administrative seats of the vikar, together with Fedorograd.
Its status as a frontier city with Ordenite-held Krasnova makes Jonaksburg one of the most militarized districts of the vikar. While the city is an important commercial port city, its importance is moreso military. Jonaksburg serves as the headquarters for a string of naval installations in western Krasnova that collectively serve as the homebase for Kríergrup Jonaksburg, a fleet group of some 480 ships.
