Lappland is an island nation located to the northwest of Trinovantum. The country is largely populated by ethnic Kildini.
History
Government
Parliament
Lappland uses a unitary parliamentary system with a unicameral system. They elect a president and speaker of the parliament. The parliament has 39 seats with the Lappland National Party (NP) currently holding a majority.
Military
The Lappland Home Defense Force Consists of the Lappland Home Guard, Lappland Coast Guard Lappland Air Guard. Lappland uses mandatory conscription, all males are required to recieve military training at the age of 18 with some limited exemptions.
Law Enforcement
The Lappland National Police is unarmed for most standard operations but does train its officers in firearms handling and keeps officers equipped with handguns and rifles stored in their patrol vehicles for situations that involve weapons. The Lappland Police currently utilize the Redhawk M-3 LEO Carbine and the McLear series of handguns. Each police district also maintains a selection of units to carry firearms with them. The Strategic Response Unit (Strategalaš Vástádus Ráidodássi), often referred to by the acronym SVR, is the police tactical unit of the Lappland Police and is headquartered in Kiuruvesi. The SVR uses a pair of OE-78 Lince helicopters to deploy to critical incidents outside Kiuruvesi. The SVR aquired the Ovlin DSB-10 bolt action rifles for their tactical marksmen in 2023. Several police districts have smaller response units with officers assigned to them part-time alongside standard duties.
Geography
Lappland consists of very mountainous territory with several fjords along the coast and various mountain plains. There are 5 glaciers on the country with the largest one located 56 miles north of Kaviboutna.

The majority of the country's population originates from the Kildini who are indigenous to the country. A significant amount have Trinovantan origins due to the country formerly being Trinovantan territory.
