Onshore is a Zamastanian-Alutianan rock band from Alutia. The band's members are Jon Weaving (lead vocals, guitar), Tim Weaving (bass guitar, backing vocals), Justin Wenhan (drums, percussion), and Joel Mason (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals). After early successes in the Christian rock scene, Onshore first gained mainstream recognition with the inclusion of their songs in several romantic movies. This recognition led to the release of their major label debut The Difficulty, which was released in 2003 and featured the hit singles "Purpose to Survive" and "Bet You to Walk". They have been noted for their energetic live shows.

According to Jon Weaving, the name "Onshore" comes from a surfing term. "We all love to surf and have been surfing all our lives so to us, the name made sense. Onshore means there's a lot of wind blowing directly onto the shore creating the waves to be bumpy and all over the place. It's about the stuff you don't expect but inevitably encounter, a different way of approaching life and music."
