The Imperial Province of Valyrion, commonly referred to as Valyrion, is an overseas semi-autonomous province of the Imperium of Amador. Founded in 873 AD as a colonial possession, Valyrion has grown into one of Amador's most important territorial possessions. With over three billion citizens across the territory, Valyrion is the second most popular imperial territory of Amador, second only to Eska Alfaria. Valyrion is led by the Archon, Sirilla Carmeen. Valyrion is located in Varathron, a sister region of Gholgoth. The province operates as a semi-autonomous republic swearing fealty to the House of Amador and by extension, queen Maeralya.
Aithlin is the capital and largest city of the province. Valyrion is defined by the Moragdel Mountains a weathered chain of mountains, which run the length of the territory from east to west through the central portions of the province. Its coastal areas are flat and abundantly populated with plentiful arable lands. Verdant wildlife is common in the forests of coastal lowlands.
Geography
Valyrion is a large province of Amador in Varathron and is home to numerous different climates. Located in southern Varathron on the Tirellian Peninsula, Valyrion is the third largest overseas territory of Amador by area behind Ilethlean and Eska Alfaria. It shares a maritime border with Vorkat to the wests of its westernmost tip. Valyrion is relatively flat, save for the Moragdel Mountains, with the Man'el Tor Vaska Forest covering much of the northern territory and the Yurgred Plains covering the southeastern areas, while the southwestern area is contained by the Irillian Tundra, a vast stretch of permafrost lands devoid of relative settlement. The Parishia River is the main tributary of Lake Runith and is the second longest river in Valyrion after the the Suakina River. It stretches from Ailith from the west, to the southeasternmost village in Valyrion, Carne. The Menas-Ailith Watershed, formed from the Encuriel, is the most populated area of Valyrion.
