Kalrurn is a terrestrial, largely barren and rocky planet located in the Hermesa Sector of the Core of the Talin Galaxy. Home to the sentient Iccols, it is sparsely populated aside from the main spaceport of Hillo, but its surface is dotted with mineral and ore extraction facilities, refueling outposts and hydroponic farms, and the occasional backwater settlement running amock with underworld activity. Also dotting the landscape are mineral lakes, containing water thick in salt, sulfur, and acidic elements. It is a member system of the Galactic Union, represented through the planet-wide election of a representative to send to the Galactic Assembly. The planet houses a high-surveillance Union-run prison known as the Kalrurn Penal Station.
