Kustenwach Engineering is a company based in Brightburg-an-Norcust, Radictistan which produces large diesel engines and turbine machinery for stationary and maritime applications. The company has two production plants in eastern Norcustsur. Kustenwach machinery is employed on large ships and at power plants and major industrial facilities. The company is the predominate supplier of turbine machinery to Radictistani power plants despite a 2014 bribery scandal.

History

Bribery scandal

In August 2014 the Radictistan Times newspaper broke the story of R$9.4 million paid in bribes to officials of Royal Radictistan Energy, the state-owned power generation and distribution company, in order to secure a 2012 contract to supply eighteen steam turbines for RRE power plants. The company was subsequently fined R$837 million and banned from bidding on government contracts for three years, although the 2012 contract was not affected and no Kustenwach executives were personally held criminally responsible.

Stationary Engines

The Luerkraft plant produces steam and gas turbines for use in power plants and other facilities requiring major electrical generation capacity. A majority of the steam turbines installed at Royal Radictistan Energy's nuclear power stations have been sourced from Kustenwach Engineering. Kustenwach also produces diesel backup generators.
