The nation is led by the Orkuzi Orthodox Church, a split from the main branch of the Orthodox Alydian Church, however with strong belief in Liberation theology, Absolute idealism and rejecting the classical Alydian version of the 8 Manifestations. The state is led by the Holy Synod of Orkuz, 6 co-equal bishops, as well as the yearly National Synod where representatives are elected from every region of Orzu to deliberate church and state policy. Orkuzi regions have large amounts of autonomy under the system, as well as legal flexibility to create their own legal codes, as long as it doesn't contradict the official "spirit" of the Church's dogma. Orzu is commonly seen as a "patchwork" of numerous polities given security and legitimacy by the Orkuzi Orthodox Church.
