"Helland, mijn Vaderland" (Hellonian: ᚻᛖᛚᛚᚨᚾᚦ, ᛗᛉᚾ Vᚨᚦᛖᚱᛚᚨᚾᚦ; Ellandic: ᚻᛖᛚᛚᚨᚾᚦ, ᛗᛁᛏᛏ ᚠᛟᛋᛏᛖᚱᛚᚨᚾᚦ ), commonly translated into English as "Hellona, my Fatherland", is one the national anthem of Hellona, the other being the March of all Winds acting as the royal anthem for the entire Hellonian Realm.
History
The anthem is based on traditional folks songs, and was as such developed over a long period of time. The lyrics are taken from the Poetic Edda.
Lyrics
During mainland Hellonian events, the first verse of the Hellonian version and the second verse of the Ellashian versions are sung. During events of the Realm, each verse is sung in one of the official languages of the Realm, one after another.
