The Second Canadian Ministry was the Cabinet of Canada led by Prime Minister Matthew Holmes and composed of Ministers of the Crown that governed Canada for the final part of the 1st Canadian Parliament. The premiership of Matthew Holmes began on February 12, 2020 when King David III invited Holmes to form the 2nd Canadian Ministry following the resignation of Justin Trudeau.
The original members of the Cabinet were appointed through an Order-in-Council issued by King David III on February 12, 2020, with the remaining ministers being sworn in on the 13th and 14th days of February. The Holmes Cabinet was the first full Cabinet of Canada and consisted of 4 ministers, as well as the Prime Minister.
The Second Canadian Ministry would conclude on February 19th, 2020 when per convention, the Prime Minister tendered his resignation to King David following the 1st General Election which saw the Kerrigan Coalition take a majority of the seats in Parliament.
