The Imperial Navy of TECT or Imperial Navy (IN) for short, is the branch of the TECT Armed Forces that is responsible for maritime and marine based operations. Stated as its primary objectives, the Imperial Navy is committed to "Protecting trade throughout our lanes, safeguarding the Empire's territorial waters, and projecting TECT's imperial authority by sea"; these are among their chief duties while others include disaster response missions, foreign aid operations, marine support, enforce Imperial law at sea, and many other sea faring duties. Today's Imperial Navy is an enormous and highly technologically advanced naval force, boasting a very large fleet of state of the art ships that vary in roles and size; IN forces have the capability to project the Empire's naval power to any location on the planet within hours, doing such force projections several times throughout this last decade alone.

Founded in 511BCE, the Imperial Navy was made up of strong battering ships made to crash into other vessels and large vessels manned by archers firing volleys of both flaming and non-flaming arrows/bolts; a number of other ships included artillery ships and boarding vessels. They traveled trade networks providing security for trading vessels and still to this day secure sea lanes passing through or near TECT. As time flowed on so did the Imperial Navy, replacing battering ships with wooden frigates, to ironclads, to eventually today's steel ships. The IN also played a part in troop deployments in ancient times when the bulk of all armed forces were part of the Imperial Army. TECT's older incarnation possessed a navy that was stronger then most other rival nations in the mainland for centuries. Imperial Navy ships went unopposed by enemies, raiders, pirates, and smugglers for generations. TECT's superior naval strength also provided a quicker supply delivery system for other parts of the Empire and protected holdings not connected by land. Not until the 11th century was the Imperial Navy faced with stronger foes including bands of organized pirates and hostile navies attempting to overpower the Imperial Navy so they could raid settlements behind the Empire's borders; cooperation between these entities became common with the hope they can finally secure naval superiority from the Commoners. Although the enemy never managed to pillage the Homeland or Empire City, their attempt to usurp the Imperial Navy truly challenged TECT's naval superiority in the Mainland. The IN still employs defensive and offensive strategies to defend the coastlines and skies near TECT as well as undermine other nations at sea; this includes routine naval patrols, denying access of uses of territory and economic zones, a net of radar and sonar stations for detection, and a continuously advancing fleet of newer and more powerful warships. Ships are usually named Imperial Naval Ship (INS) as their title and a given name based on the ship's class; an example would be how destroyers are named after high ranking officers and aircraft carriers being named after leaders new and old in TECT. Class names are awarded by design teams or the government in honor of a national animal, war hero, State, etc..

Coast Guard

The TECT Coast Guard or Imperial Navy(al) Coast Guard (INCG), is a branch of the Imperial Navy that regulates maritime law, partakes in military operations, and performs multi-mission services. The Coast Guard is unique in the TECT Armed Forces because its duty of enforcing maritime law enforcement mission (with jurisdiction in both domestic and international waters) and a federal regulatory agency mission as part of its mission set is rare. The Coast Guard enforces TECT maritime regulations in its own waters and in international waters; among those maritime roles, law enforcement is one of them. Coast Guard military duties are protecting TECT territorial waters and interests adjacent to them, combating pirating, and performing maritime security missions. Rescue and emergency response missions are also a primary duty for the Coast Guard.

The TECT Coast Guard falls under the command of the Imperial Navy's command structure; it follows under the Ministry of Justice as well.
