Sharifistani Turks are Sharifistani citizens of patrilineal Turkic ancestry (Turkic ancestry through the male line). They are the oldest and largest ethnic group in Sharifistan and are over-represented in academia (especially sciences and philosophy) and business whilst being under-represented in the special forces, security and law enforcement.

Culture and languages

Sharifistani Turks are usually fluent in Turkish, Arabic and Pashto, with many also fluent in Sharifistani lingua franca. The Sharifistani Turk share many food tastes with other Turks but also have a taste for much Indian and Arabic food. They are often more religious than other Turks and practice many traditional Islamic customs such as polygyny and the wearing of hijabs.
