The Brytene national football team represents Brytene internationally in association football and is controlled by the Brytisc Football Association, the governing body for football in Brytene. They are a drawn from the best players in the Goldwing Premier League, a comparatively new football league compared to many others, and Brytene is set to be one of the host nations for the first-ever Atlas World Cup.

History

Originally founded in 1962, the Brytene national squad has made a number of friendly appearances, but with no official World Cup they remained an unpopular sport in comparison to baseball and other Brytisc pastimes.

However, an initiative started in 2013 by King Cenwulf saw renewed investment in Brytisc football, and the BFA entered into negotiations with other regional and national football associations to secure an international football authority that would preside over a world-level competition between national teams.

Nicknames

The team are named the Stags because of their national symbol, and because they are reputedly to be fast and fleet of foot, difficult to run down.

Venues

The Goldwing Arena, sponsored by Goldwing Finance and completed in 2013 in Contwaraburg, is the official home of the Brytene national side, as well as Contwaraburg FC.

Goldwing Arena is a modern venue, with a capacity of up to 90,000 and a full-sized international football pitch. It has extendable roofing for all seating sections, and the complex includes a range of training facilities, vendors, and press and conference areas.
