The Army Distinguished Service Award is a military honor awarded by the Lumenic Army to any active duty or reserve member for "exceptionally distinguished performance a duty of great responsibility". The Army Distinguished Service Award is awarded during both peacetime and in times of declared conflict, and is the highest award issued by the Lumenic Legion solely to members of the Army.
History
Awarding and eligibility
The Army Distinguished Service Award is awarded to members of the Lumenic Army who have distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious service to the nation in a duty of great responsibility. The performance must be such as to merit recognition for service that is clearly exceptional. The exceptional performance of normal duty will not alone justify an award of this decoration. Typically, the Army Distinguished Service Award may be given to any soldier who, while serving in any capacity with the Lumenic Army, has distinguished himself or herself by exceptionally meritorious service in a duty of great responsibility.
The Army Distinguished Service Award may be made to persons other than members of Lumenic Army for wartime services only, and only then under exceptional circumstances with the express approval of the King in each case.
