The Campeche Service Award is a military awarded presented to any member of the Lumenic Legion who participated in combat operations in support Operation Door Stop in the Campeche Military Administrative Zone of Costa Mejis. The Campeche Military Administrative Zone is a military adminstrative zone located in Calla Campeche Costa Mejis. It is a small strip of land separating the State of Alaina, an unrecognized breakaway state in northern Costa Mejis, from a second breakaway state, the State of Rosselló, which declared its independence in 2010 following a coup d'état of the local Mejian government by the Tosselló Partido de Liberación, a socialist independence movement nominally backed and supported by the government of Abrahar. Currently, the Royal Mejian Army, supported by other branches of the Costa Mejian Armed Force as well as elements of the Patrian Legion are engaged in counterinsurgency operations in and around the Campeche Military Administrative Zone primarily focused on interdicting supplies moving between Alaina and Rosselló and preventing the Rosselló Liberation Army and its Abrahar allies from establishing a permeant presence in Alaina.

History

The Campeche Service Award was proposed by the Ministry of Defense on October 5, 2021 and approved by the Senātus in November that same year, with King Lorenzo III accepting the proposal on December 1st, 2021, allowing for the award to be instituted on January 1st, 2022.

Awarding and eligibility

The Campeche Service Award is awarded to any member of the Lumenic Legion who has performed duty within the Campeche Military Administrative Zone for a period of thirty consecutive days or sixty non-consecutive days after September 17, 2021. Personnel who have been engaged in combat with an enemy force, or personnel who have been wounded in combat within the aforementioned locations, may receive the award regardless of the number of days spent within the combat zone. The Campeche Service Award is also awarded posthumously to any service member who dies in the line of duty within the mentioned combat zone, including from non-combat injuries such as accidents and mishaps.

At present, all forces deployed to Costa Mejis from the Lumenic Legion are operating under the authority of the Patrian Legion. As such, any servicemember who is eligible for the Campeche Service Award would also be eligible for the Patrian Legion Service Award.

Authorized devices

At present, there are no authorized devices for the Campeche Service Award. The Campeche Service Award can not be awarded more than once to the same recipient, and therefore no Rosetón devices authorized for the device.
