The King's Cross is a military award issued by the Lumenic Legion for extreme gallantry and risk of life in actual combat with an armed enemy force. Actions that merit awarding the King's Cross must be of such extreme heroism or bravery that they are above those required for all other combat decorations, but which do not meet the criteria for the Ordo Lux; the nation's highest military honor. Any member of the Lumenic Legion, regardless of branch of service or military occupation may receive the King's Cross for qualifying acts. In addition, the King's Cross may be awarded to civilian or foreign nationals who commit great acts of bravery on behalf of Luminerra.

History

Awarding and eligibility

The King's Cross is awarded to a person who, while serving in any capacity with the Lumenic Legion, is engaged in an action against an enemy of the nation; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing force, or while serving with an allied force fighting an opponent that is not a declared enemy of Luminerra. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from his or her comrades.

The King's Cross can be awarded during both peacetime as well as during a declared conflict or emergency.

Authorized devices

The King's Cross can be award more than once to the same recipient. If an individual receives more than one King's Cross then the ribbon would display a Rosetón device.
