Colossus was a Vechad-class destroyer that served in the Navy of the Syaran Republic from 1927 to 1935. Like the rest of her class, the Colossus was intended to replace the older Jisova-class destroyers, but the outbreak of the Siduri War pressed both designs into service. The Colossus took part in supporting the Inner Sphere's invasion of Mansuriyyah in early 1935 as part of the Syaran National Fleet. She was still part of the National Fleet for Operation Scylla, the intended capture of the Cacertian territory of Andria, and assigned to the Forward Cluster.
On 23 November, 1935 she became the first ship to be sunk during the Battle of the Sabri Sea. While engaging the Cacertian Center and Southern Fleets the Colossus was hit by shellfire from the HMS Lucrezia Quintilian, which detonated the ship's rear magazine. The ensuing explosion ruptured the hull and the ship sank in less than three minutes. Four survivors were picked up by the Cacertians out of a total compliment of 236 officers and men. The wreck has yet to be found.
