Royalty of Durnstaal

Durnstaal's fractured history of interior division and civil war led to many monarchs with a variety of titles being crowned at different times and by different groups. The most popular historical division splits the list into four sections: The Classical Rulers, The First Czardom, The Turmoil, and The Second Czardom. The Classical Rulers ruled Duern and Yuran from the founding of the kingdoms to the mid 800's when Duern reached its territorial height. The First Czardom refers to the first recorded use of Czar as an official title to refer to the monarch. The turmoil refers to the monarchs of the many warring kingdoms formed during the Second and Third Fractures. The Second Czardom refers to the monarchs crowned after the founding of the Federated Union of Durnstaal.
