The National Assembly of Chanda is the unicameral parliament of Chanda. It is the sole body given the legislative prerogatives by the Chandan constitution. It was founded in Taglikend on 23 April 1950 in the midst of the Chandan National Revolution. The National Assembly functioned as a provisional government consisting of the members of the Chandan Socialist Unity Front. The new legislature was fundamental in the efforts of the Five Leaders of Chanda to create a new state out of the West Shalegho Commandery.
