Skanag, sometimes stylaized SkanAg (A Portmanteau of Skanderian Agriculture) is a publicly traded Dnieguan multinational agrochemical and agricultural biotechnology corporation headquartered in Reinkla Bay, Dniegua. It is a leading producer of genetically engineered (GE) seed and foodstuffs in southern Pardes.
Founded in 1949 by Troed Hellqvist, a former research biologist from ParaCell, SkanAg initially produced food additives like saccharin and vanillin, expanded into industrial chemicals. By the 1960s it had become a major producer of plastics, including polystyrene and synthetic fibers. In 1979, SkanAg produced and marketed one of the the first genetically modified wheat crops that were purported to be able to survive the southern continents harsh winters. In 1984, SkanAg opened 18 storefronts nationwide devoted to selling products grown in a series of greenhouses built around Dniegua, which continuously year round yield crops, which resulted in unprecedented expansion of the company. Today SkanAg is found on six continents in 38 nations.
According to the Enterprise Diamond 500 list, a ranking of international businesses based on revenue published by Aisling business magazine Enterprise, SkanAg is ranked 9th in the world by overall revenue.
