The NDU opposes left-wing movements as well as monarchist movements emerged from relation with Amenria in favor of conservatism and Asia-Pacific nationalism. The current chairman is Yuto Osaki. The NDU traces it origins to multiple parties existed before the third world war, such as Republican Party in the United States, Liberal Democratic Party in Japan and Kuomintang in Taiwan.
