The VCST-40 (Quenminese full name: Vung Cải Súng Trường, Người mẫu 1940; Chữ Hy Lạp: Υυϧ Ϲἀι Σύϧ Τρὑὁϧ, Ϧὑὂι μᾱᾶυ 1940; English: "Vung Cải Rifle, model 1940") is a Quenminese semi-automatic battle rifle developed in 1938 and produced in 1940. It was intended to replace the Trinh-Hoang 91-13 as a service rifle of the Imperial Quenminese Army, but the latter maintained its status due to its cheaper manufacturing and design. Nevertheless, over 2 million models were produced, and the rifle saw continuous service since the Second Europan War, even when both the ST-49 and the ST-8 assault rifles outclassed it.
