The Second Europan War (12 January 1935 - 2 September 1945) was a worldwide conflict in Eordis that lasted from 1935 to 1945. The vast majority of the world's countries-including all the great powers-eventually formed two opposing military alliances: the Allies ad the Axis. Following the 1935 Randgriz Kidnapping, The Atlantic Federation distanced itself from the Allies, forming another military alliance called the Federation. A state of total war emerged, directly involving more than 100 million people from more than 40 countries. The leading nations threw their entire economic, industrial, and scientific capabilities behind the war effort. EWII was to become the deadliest conflict in the history of Eordis, with fatalities as high as 85 million.

Several causes for its eruption stemmed from the Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance's and of the Empire of Quenmin's ambitions to expand and create a global empire.
