The Labour Party is one of four major political parties in Beatavic alongside their 3 rivals, the Conservative Party, Mooie Kust Nationalistische Partij and the People's Party of Beatavic

The Labour Party was founded by supporters of Robbert-Jan ten Seldam on October 4th, 1928 in Amstelvoort, Liverly after the Liberal Party passed the Wellinkvoorde Act of 1928 allowing xenophobic comments. Before 1928, the founding members of the Labour party supported the Liberal Party which would later merge with the Labour Party in 1954.
