Tristain-La Fontaine is a sovereign kingdom within the United Kingdom. It lies southeast of the Lucis Isles and occupies the whole Tristainian archipelago.
The Kingdom of Tristain-La Fontaine first emerged as an independent Kingdom in the early Middle Ages until 1801. By inheristance, Tristanian Queen Anne became Queen of Lucis, Queen of Accordo, and Queen of Niflheim after the death of William III. His daughter Mary was forced to relinquish the inheritance to the Lucian, Accordish, and Niflheimian throne after her marriage to the Archduke of Gallia, which meant that Anne was the closest to the throne. The Lucis-Tristainian Act of 1801 was signed on December 25 of the same year which granted Tristain's unofficial political union. By 2012 on the 15th of July, the Acts of Union 2012 was declared official, which unified the whole Tristainian archipelago with the Lucis Isles. However, the Queen of Tristain, Henrietta remained the sovereign under a co-monarchy over Tristain with King Noctis Lucis Caelum.
Tristain has a distinct culture from the UK but some parts of the cultural aspect are similar to the ones found in the UK. Originally, French was the official language in Tristain, until in 1801, when English was adopted with the same accent as that of Lucis English. Tristain is also a member of the International Red Cross and the Commownealth of Nations as a country part of the UK. Its military is also merged with the United Kingdom as part of the improved Lucis Armed Forces.
