2019 Trive-IDU Baseball Classic

The 2019 Trive-IDU Baseball Classic was an international sporting event involving several nations involved in baseball match ups. The event was hosted by Trive and was attended by Shuell, Libertas Omnium Maximus, Zamastan, Gardavasque, Kerlile, Norte Prata, and Sand Point. The first friendly rounds were held on February 14th, with only two matches being played out before the classic would eventually continue. The tournament was discontinued after the friendly rounds due to political unrest.

Controversy and Protests

On the 17th, a sizable crowd of roughly 450 protesters amassed outside of the Sand Point v. Shuell match at Yakovlev Park in Vladivostok around 2:00 PM to protest Sand Point's laws that permit the practice of slavery. Trivian local security force was able to contain the protesters. Three people were arrested on charges of vandalism and 5 others were injured. It is rumoured that said protests contributed to the eventual cancellation of the remaining rounds.
