Nuovatoscanan Italian, also called Guianan Italian, is the standard dialect of the Italian language in Nuovatoscanan Guiana. It is based on the European Tuscan dialects; however, it was heavily influenced by African, Indigenous American, Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, and Dutch influence. Mutual intelligibility between Nuovatuscan and European Italian is high but it is marked with different pronounciation and vocabulary exclusively used in Nuovatoscana.
Differences from European Italian
The major difference between Guianan Italian and European Italians are in vocabulary and pronunciation.
