Amstelvoort is the most populous and temporary capital in Beatavic as well as the capital city of Liverly due to the 2021 Beatavic Tsunami and Earthquake with an estimated 2020 population of 600,000 people. The city is the core of the Amstelvoort Metropolitan Area which has a population of 2,300,000 as of 2020 estimates. Amstelvoort is furthermore situated within a larger metropolis known as the Amstelvoort-Harlingen-Rotterberg Combined Statistical Area, a corridor of contiguous urban and suburban sprawl along a 193 Kilometer (119.9 Mile) segment on the Grantham Front, comprising a population of 7,500,000 (as of 2020 estimates), making it the largest city in Beatavic. It is also the largest city in the Darmstadt Plain.
Amstelvoort was founded in 1254 by Korneel Schoonderwoert along with 20 other people looking to establish a city. They came to a stop as soon as they saw mountains and immediately started planning a city that would potentially foster future growth.
